Homebase 10% off days -gone for good?

Options
Homebase recently dropped its Spend and Save loyalty scheme in favour of Nectar -a bit of a shame really as it was quite a good one as loyalty schemes go, but more worryingly, they seem to have abandoned the regular 10% off everything days. Anyone out there have any news about this?

They are expensive normally but I dusted off both the spend and save and nectar card this week and picked up a new Mira electric shower for 60 quid, RRP looks to be in the 200 mark. Its pretty rare but there are bargins in there occasionally :)

does that mean all my spend & save points are now wiped out?
  • Thanks for the replies. 10% day has been useful for me for things like Farrow and Ball paints, of which they are the only nationwide stockists, and where the reduction was genuinely less than their usual selling price. I agree however that they are as guilty as anybody of volatile pricing and attempts to confuse the customer. ( I think it's called 'dynamic pricing' in marketing jargon!)

gloucesteroldspot, i hate to be the barer of bad news but homebase are not the only nationwide stockists of farrow & ball! if you check it out, there are loads of independent stores that sell farrow & ball - both paints and papers. I know this because my sister-in-law is an interior designer an she's gets her farrow products of an independent... £18 per 2.5Lt?

HOMEBASE are having a 10% weekend 17th and 18th July 2009. This includes all sale items too.

I've been waiting to buy a trampoline and enclosure for my daughter's birthday at the end of the month - she's going to be soooo excited.:j
