Hi,
Has anyone bought a F&P kitchen appliance or have experience of them. I am very tempted to buy one of their gas hobs and built in ovens but have not really heard of them...
The alternative is a similar priced Bosch oven and hob.
Would anyone recommend them? Thanks

Right, where do I start? The first time I saw the F&P appliances, I was a bit dubious, but after a while dealing with them (we started to supply them in Scotland) I thought they were fantastic. For once they aren't "Made In China" and are a very high build quality. And their customer service is good too, even though they are based in Australia, they have a service team covering the UK.
The dishwasher drawers are absolutely fantastic and the new fridge systems are great too.
Personally, I'd choose them over Bosch/Siemens anytime...
(BTW I don't sell them any more, so I'm not on commission lol)If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Thanks that is music to my ears. They look very good and seem to offer a lot of functions for the price. Was just worried about the quality and reliabilty.0

Anyone else today?0

I have a small joinery workshop and make kitchens, customers have used them and can't find fault, again the dishwasher drawers are excellant...0

I am tempted to upgrade to the dishwashing drawers when my current diswasher packs in...
Think I am going to go for it then! I must say they look good and seem to be good value for money.0 -
I'm from New Zealand (where F&P is from) and they make up probably 70% of the appliances there. F&P have been around for many years (30 or more?) and are very reliable...one of the most popular brands in the southern hemisphere. The dish drawers are excellent (and quite innovative) as are the washing machines and fridges.
As a company they are well established - one of the sponsors for the NZ team in the Americas cup yacht race...0 -
I've got a F&P 5 burner hob. It looks and feels quality so very pleased I bought it.
Someone on EBAY was selling them for half price. They were not described as graded and it was all in original unblemished packaging so I believe it was 1st quality as well :-)0 -
And Haier of China now owns 20% of them as they almost went bust last month.
Front loading washers in AUS/NZ are supplied by Arcelik (Beko).
They bought Elba who now make range cooking for the EU.
Dishdrawer I had and I didn't rate it. Pain to load and wash performance was poor. You also are restricted as you cannot use standard tablets, only Simply or Fairy ones as they are powder in a bag and dissolve in the reduced water.
They are susceptible to having stuff stacked on the cup racks that prevent the lid from closing properly, water pours in and blows the boards or you get an E1 fault IIRC.
Refrigeration and Titan cooking were okay though but I haven't looked at them in a while.

I had a fridge freezer for eight years and it worked like a dream, had some fantastic features like an alarm, frost free, anti bacterial whatnot and it was really modern and good-looking. It moved house 8 times! and was still going strong except for the bruises from moving house and the floor varnish from where myt husband once varnished around it  it's recently given way to a bargain bosch integrated fridge freezer but I'd buy their products again happily.
I loved that fridge freezer!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi,
I would agree with Kwatt about the dishwasher drawers, nice idea but not the quality it should be for the price. A Miele dishwasher would out perform a F & P in every respect.0
