Allergy?
Not-Quite-MiL has just come home from work. Within a few minutes she was complaining of itching skin... now she says her nose is completely blocked. Her face is a bit puffy too. Seems like a reaction to me... but to what? She may have eaten a few nuts since she got home... but she's 60 and hasn't ever been allergic to them…

WATER BILLS - Vulnerable Groups Regulations 1999 (Health related)
This may have been mentioned at some point and I hope that other users and moderators will forgive me if it has, I felt it important enough to mention. After having been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the start of October, and having been in Kettering General three times in three months, it was mentioned to me that I…

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish
How much should I be using? I got some recently but it's in a tube and I'm not sure how much to use each time. How much comes out of the pump? It's not cheap so being a moneysaver I want to make sure I'm not using too much.

can you go half-private?
hiya peeps If someone needed an operation but the waiting list was at least a year, is it possible to 'go halves' in some way and speed up the process or am I completely barking up the wrong tree? I could probably pay about 70% of the cost in cash but it would take me ages to raise the rest, would I be laughed out of the…

Support pillows?
I've been told to sleep with my head raised because of reflux. Piling up normal pillows doesn't work because I just slide off them! I heard that there is a kind of foam wedge shaped pillow that you can buy. Does anyone know of where I can buy one? High street shops or internet, I don't mind. I don't want to spend many more…

'Face lift' in a jar for a fiver
I was given a jar of Tesco Make-up facelift for Christmas. I was very dubious because i'm a Clarins/Arden girl. Anyway gave it a go and it is lovely. Just been into tesco to buy another jar and was amazed that it was only £5.00. (Normally £6 but reduced until 15th Jan.) Think I might have to try more cheaper brands.

Hi My back molar is split and half of it was extracted today after months of failing root canal work on the NHS(as per my other post). Nail Extensions
Hey guys, I had nail extensions put on a few weeks ago, and absolutely loved them but paying a bomb for getting them put on was enough for me. They're at that "need-a-make-over" stage but as a skint student I can't afford infills and they charge to get them taken off too. Just wanted to know, is there any home solutions to…
