split tooth

Hi
My back molar is split and half of it was extracted today after months of failing root canal work on the NHS(as per my other post). My back tooth now feels like a front tooth and I think at the next appointment it will all have to come out. So.. whats the best remedy to get the gap filled? I understand you can have a bridge or an implant- although the latter is very expensive?

Depends if you want NHS or Private.
On the NHS there isnt really a clinical need as your masticatory capacity wouldn't really be affected. Read up on the shortened dental arch concept IYSWIM. At a push you would be able to get a denture.
Private... the world's your oyster. There are risks with bridges and implants... loss of vitality hence may need RCT on the abutment tooth etc but I am sure your dentist would help you decide. Other factors need to be taken into consideration like your oral hygiene, perio , occlusion etc etc0
