ATM charges in Austria
I always withdraw cash on holiday using a card without a transaction fee. Currently I'm in Austria and all the ATMs seem to charge 3% cash withdrawal fee. I was in Austria last year and there was no charge. Is this happening elsewhere in Europe?

Was about to book a trip to the US with British Airways, but have found exactly the same flights with BA but booked through American Airlines (code share) for a cheaper price, will the baggage allowance be BA's usual allowance still? Would there be any other differences at all, apart from saving money?

RYANAIR sharp CHECK-IN practice
I recently logged onto the Ryanair ONLINE CHECK-IN web site to check in for a return flight from a holiday. Previously, Ryanair had stipulated that you could check-in from 15 days before the flight. Now, they've changed the rules so you can only check in online after 7 days before the flight. As I don't know whether…

Car hire excess insurance
If I have purchased car hire excess insurance, does it then mean that the onus of arguing with the hire company about the validity of any charge they impose (such as asking them to prove that the damage was caused by me, etc) is shifted to the excess insurer? For instance, lets say I did not have any excess insurance and…

Car hire - Super CDW vs Excess Insurance
Since I am about to hire a car in Dec for the first time, I was researching on moneysavingexpert and other websites and many of them seemed to suggest that purchasing excess insurance beforehand from companies like Questor (where you can get this for something like £3 a day) is often a much better deal than purchasing…

We have since asked for a refund and they refused saying it was not their policy when the customer was…

When to get US Dollars

I am now wondering whether or not to get a fairfx card as the pound seems to be tumbling. The rate on the fairfx card today is…

Opodo selling Ryanair flights at a discount
As many of you may have noticed, Opodo have started to sell Ryanair flights cheaper than Ryanair themselves. This appears to be a loss-leader to induce people to sign up for entropay (any other payment method is more expensive). Entropay costs 5% to top up, but you can still end up paying less. Has anyone ever gone through…
