American Airlines code share on BA flights bagage info

Was about to book a trip to the US with British Airways, but have found exactly the same flights with BA but booked through American Airlines (code share) for a cheaper price, will the baggage allowance be BA's usual allowance still?

Would there be any other differences at all, apart from saving money?

Yes, I've often done this in the past. You will have an AA flight number, but that's the only difference. Same baggage allowance. Same everything else.

It used to be cheaper to book BA short haul flights through AA as well, although I haven't seen this for a while.

You may have to find your BA record locator if you want to check in on line. This should come up in a search on the BA Web site.

It's also worth checking the price booking through Iberia and Expedia.

Yes, its all the same, we did this for a trip to New York.

As I remember once you have your booking, it allows a "pass through" from the AA website to the BA website that lets you book seats etc.

The baggage allowance was the same.
