Historic energy bills
We changed our supplier back in October 2021 from Bristol energy to another supplier who the went bust in December but Monday we received a bill from Bristol saying we owe them £1440 even though we was paying monthly by direct debt and gave monthly meter readings, how can they suddenly come after us for more money 6 months…

Planned to submit my meter readings today as advised through a Email sent via company and media.. BUT why have Shell Energy.. closed this service today can’t log on through email or via app… Does this mean when able to submit reading they will be charged at tomorrows price rise ???

Former energy salesman of 10 years at large energy company.
We used to get told to tell customers when the wholesale price used to drop, that we couldn't reduce their prices as we purchase Gas 5 years in advance. EDF website down for maintenance 31/3/22
A great time for EDF to carry out essential site maintenance the day before the awaited price hike and just when people need to submit their meter readings for clarity. I have taken a photo of each meter and emailed it to them, so that i have at least generated evidence (paper trail) just in case.

Smart meter for medium gas pressure
Three years on since I first saw mention of suppliers not connecting gas to their smart meters and they are still at it. EDF say it is not possible, but when I was with Scottish/British Gas they were able to do it. The government want people on smart meters so why are they not telling suppliers to get this sorted.
