SSE website not available

hi folks I'm trying to submit my metre readings today on SSE but the account area is unavailable - anyone else having issues? it says 'we re working on this area of the site'

Seems to be a common problem.  I'm getting the same with British Gas.  I blame Martin Lewis, telling everyone to submit meter readings today LOL.  All the energy suppliers' websites are probably overloaded with people trying to log on.  Either than, or they've been deliberately taken down to stop people submitting readings ........ I'll fetch my tin-foil hat

Likewise, Shell Energy. Just a coincidence, or more pressure to install smart meters 'to save us money'?

Submitted to "So" energy, but not had e mail thanks back yet, I assume its overload with everyone trying to submit readings.

Same problem - tried submitting readings to EonNext (suddenly my password no longer works) and British Gas - their website too is not working properly.
