Hi, looking for some advice on what to do with my current Scottish Power complaint. It dates back to a quarterly bill at the end of Jan this year. I felt that it was too high & had been given some bad advice on what deal/package to take when i moved into my new home in July 2013. As is the norm, they wanted to base my…

Changing Key meter to traditional monthly DD
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows a company who will (for free) change the meter type I have, from pre-pay key to a normal meter which allows me the use of Direct Debits, etc. It's a new rented property (landlord is happy with the change), I did ask one company, but they asked for £100 to change the meter. I…

SP to ovo switch problems
I switched fron scottish power to ovo in late march and have still to receive a final bill for the gas. Scottish power blame ovo saying the meter reading they gave them is too high, which it is. I've asked ovo twice to give scottish power the correct reading so the account can be closed ( I'm about £100 in credit). However…

Npower broke into my home for non existent bills
OK so. First off. I received letter from Richburns on behalf of npower, saying that they were going to court on the 19th of June to get a warrant. Shocked, I phoned the court to confirm this which they couldn't find anything. Thinking this was bullying I phoned npower who couldn't confirm it on the phone either as I cannot…

EDF website
Just tried to access my Online account, cannot login. "Live Chat" was able to inform me that the site is undergoing maintenance and will be back online in 24 - 48 hours. A very fast response on the Chat line, quickest I have seen: some of these are very slow.

Switching Energy Providers
I have moved into a house and will be switching energy providers, the new provider is a lot cheaper than the old one. I was wondering if I could give the old provider a final meter reading that is exactly the same as the opening one so I pay no money to the old provider and pay for the electricity usage to my new supplier…

Prepayment meters, good or bad?

Fixed rate OVo- Good rate but worth it with exit fees ?
I have just switched from EDF to OVO as I will save £88 a year and get £30 cashback. This is fixed for a year with £30 exit fees for both G and E. I know being locked in with a fee isn't that desirable but within a year will prices surely come down so much and outweigh the benefit of this tarrif with OVO ? It's a conundrum…

I have Johnson and Starley gas warm air heating which is 23 years old and has 2 pilot lights, one for the heating, which is off at the moment, and one for the hot water. Wondered what people's summer usages are? I seem to spend the same on gas and elec. Between £13 and £16 each month for each fuel. That is excluding the monthly standing charge which is an extra £12 in total. I'm on the co-op tariff which I should really change
