I have recently moved to a new house the boiler is years old and it has a separate immersion tank, I was looking to get a new oil combi boiler put in but was unsure of costs.

Has anyone recently had one fitted and can tell me how much it cost.

All the radiators/pipe work is ok just need the boiler I need.

We only have oil in the area so I can't change to gas

Thanks

    Hi,

I had a similar situation. We moved in to a house (April this year) which had an electric boiler for the heating and immersion tank for the hot water. It had previously been on oil with old oil boiler and oil tank in the garden.

We had a quote for a combi boiler and quote for system boiler (same plumber). In the end we plumped for the system boiler (and then paid separately a couple of months later for a new hot water tank connected to the boiler).

As the old oil boiler was not a condensing boiler and building regulations now mandate condensing boilers, the new boiler had to be installed in a different location (external wall) with a new flue (on the external wall not in the roof) with all the associated pipework so obviously that adds to the cost as opposed to having the new boiler installed in the old location.

Anyway the price quoted for a combi boiler (Worcester Greenstar Heatslave II 18/25) and installation was £4468.
The price for the system boiler (Worcester Greenstar Danesmoor System 12/18) and installation was £4100 and we then paid an additional £1385 to have our immersion tank replaced (same location) with equivalent indirect tank connected to the boiler.
    All prices inc VAT.

I guess the prices vary according to location, we live near Guildford.

Hope this is of some use and please feel free to ask if you have any questions as this was all pretty recent for me.
