Spark Energy - what's the catch?
I went through uswitch comparison yesterday, and it came back with Spark Energy "Spark Advance 2" tariff as being the best deal. Hastily, I decided to apply to switch to it. Now I'm not so sure. The headline rates (that were stated on the uswitch site), seem better. We are currently with Eon and when the price increases…

Brit Gas standing charge.
British Gas having introduced a standing charge of 25p a day (for me) should have put their unit prices down shouldn't they? Given that the charges for supply admin etc were formerly incorporated into the unit price.

British Gas to EDF - meter problem
Folks, can I have a wee bit of advice from you? I moved into this pensioner’s flat in July 2009 and on the morning of the moving-in date there was a strong smell of gas. An engineer was here in 10 minutes and replaced the meter. He felt that the folks who moved out the day before had perhaps damaged the old one as they…

E-on - You are a bunch of Liars and I'm reporting you to Ofgem
(To anyone considering switching to these people DON'T or at least do your research first because they will tell any old lie, trust me) Yes I've seen your petty excuses on here and your PR lies which is as see through as your excuses that price rises are beyond your control whilst you fat cats just get fatter and fatter.…

Co-OP energy refund?
So here's the thing, we used co-op energy earlier this year as they were the cheapest at the time, we've since changed to another provider, however I received my bill on line as usual last month and it stated that we were £1600 in credit, they mucked up our gas readings from the beginning, they tried to charge us for a…

Npower Problems In Spite of Phone Calls
In the beginning of 2012 I transferred my gas and electric to Npower on the promise that I could change from pay meters to credit meters. The electricity was transferred pretty quickly, and eventually the gas. After three months I changed supplier again because Npower was a lot more expensive than the comparison sites…

Npower - all happily sorted
I just wanted to add a few comments about the above as I know lots of people are having a bad time with the said utility company. Hi, Does anyone know how I can get an energy quote online when buying first property. It seems like most sites are for comparison if switching supplier or moving house. I am moving from parents house into my own property. Websites & Url appreciated.

nPower nightmare for me and my friends
nPower seems to have gone into meltdown. I recently transferred to them, after the recommendation on moneysavingexpert and after having checked via a price comparison website. After 2 months, it still hadn't gone through. I rang them on 3 occasions. On the first occasion they told me that I'd supplied the wrong address. I…

EdF Removing Discounts
Hi all, I'm with EdF and signed up long ago to their Blue April 2014 tariff, and have been very happy. They've messed up the bill a few times, but a phone call or two has usually resulted in them fixing it. Recently, I received a letter saying that due to a ruling by Ofgem, EdF were being forced to remove the discounts…
