Npower - all happily sorted

I just wanted to add a few comments about the above as I know lots of people are having a bad time with the said utility company.
My story is, left them in July through having terrible problems with my account since April. Numerous complaints made, phone calls made and no joy, I never received a final bill so left them to it.
I knew what my usage was and had put aside the money owed ready for when they issued the bill.
Anyway, 3 weeks ago I suddenly received £20 gift vouchers as compensation for the length of time it was taking to sort out which was a surprise, then a week later a cheque in the post for money they owed me!
A letter came 3 days afterwards saying my account was finally closed so I checked online and printed off my final bill. The contents were quite a surprise but a very welcome one because as far as I was concerned, I owed them money!
A nice gift for Christmas for me.
Hopefully everyone else will finally be sorted out correctly, hang in there if you can.
ps and no I am definitely nothing to do with them either!

Believe me, I had my very unreasonable moments with np months ago and quite a lot of times too. I often had to apologise to the people I spoke to on the phone over my comments ( a lot of the customer service staff agreed with me) but I guess they are frustrated the same as us.
Hopefully np are now sorting their problems out and will get their act together again eventually. Don't you think all the big companies are as bad as each other though? We need some smaller companies to start up now to give us more choice.
Out of interest, I wondered if there was anyone else out there who had had their issues sorted now?0 -
We need suppliers, not virtual ones like coopDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
