Hiya all
i have just joined ebico as the price was so cheap and no something called standing charge which is a con.
does anyone know about this supplier? as it says THE UK'S ONLY NOT-FOR-PROFIT ENERGY SUPPLIER?
Also there is Co-Operative energy,OVO energy,First utility,Good energy. and maybe more
Any comments ?????

The standing charge is not a con. Ebico still collect standing charges except not on a flat amount daily - they collect a premium for each and every kWh you use. Their standing charge is uncapped and pro rata your consumption. They are only cheap for a very limited number of cases.
Yes, there are supplies other than the big six. They have been around for quite a while.0 -
There's a cost of getting electricity or gas to your home so if Ebico is left with a bunch of low users it will have to change its tariff structure or go out of business.0

I was with SSE before and they charged me for Electricity 15p per kwh and 27p a day standing charge.
now im with ebico and all i get charged is 17p per kwh with no standing charge.
im a very low user most of the time im at work and some times i use 1kw in 2 or 3 days. im sure some people will not belive meWhat happens if you push this button?0 -
OP, you are confusing 'not for profit' with 'cheapest supplier'.
Ebico are only cheapest for very low users. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

That's a variable tariff. You can pay less than that on a fix until December 2017 with npower.
You should point out that this tariff has a standing charge, which is deducted from the bill, if you pay by direct debit. This may not be of benefit to some.
Ebico has no standing charge, regardless of payment method.0 -
