Do Electricity companies have right of entry to a property or do they need a warrant?
My meter is in a communal area in the building where I live which is a Victorian terrace split into two flats. No payment has been made for electricity into my flat since the building was converted six years ago. The electricity company have suddenly realized that the meter – which is wrongly listed against the other flat…

First Utility V5 tariff
It was not surprising to see this tariff jump to No1 spot and left me wondering how many poor unsuspecting souls will fall for this as I did last year with their V2 version (Nov 09) when it was also top, which seemed reason enough to switch back then, only to see it plunge into oblivion later. How wrong I was with this…

Just Moved - so how do I switch?!
:(We've just moved into a new house and inherited both Gas and Electricity on a Swalec tarriff. We're pretty sure that we could get a better deal, but comparison sites ask for usage to work out the best deal but we have no idea what our usage would be for 12 months, as this house is bigger than our last. Does anyone have…

Scottish Power
Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm confused over my elecric tariff. My other half has been taking care of the elecric so far and when we moved to our place (about five months ago) Scottish Power took several moths to set up our DD and so. So we had a £200 bill with them already and they put us on a certain…

My EON online Fix 3 ends on 1st Dec. Since I will be away from mid Nov through Dec, I don't want them to put me on a standard rate, so I want to change to the Save online 4 tariff now using the online switch. Do you think they will charge me a cancellation fee to cancel in the last month ?

I'm (hopefully) moving into a flat with prepayment gas and electricity meters soon - I know they suck but I won't be there long enough for it to be worth having them removed. What do I do ? What is the absolute quickest time to change suppliers? It is usually quoted that it takes 4-8 weeks to change supplier, but having looked at a change I made last year to EDFenegy it only took 23 days from applying to EDF starting to supply. This was for a single fuel deal though. There Is a 14 days cooling off period but…

Economy 10(E10) rates - can I complain
I have an E10 meter (midlands) and cheap rate comes on 3 times over 24hrs. I have persuaded an energy company to charge me E7 rates as they dont give E10 - assume happy to get the business. Not all energy companies will allow this which is a shame as Scottish Energy has the cheapest e7 rates at the moment - would save over…
