Ovo meter readings

I have been with Ovo for about a month. I have received a recorded phone message from Npower asking for meter readings to be submitted either by phone or at https://www.myreadings.net. I have never received energy supplies from Npower but does it collect meter readings on behalf of Ovo?

I am with OVO and have been for 2 years. I am on an online tarrif and input my meter readings via their website. I have never had any contact with Npower. What tarrif are you on? Were you expected to input readings online? Perhaps you can try to log on to your account online and input your readings.

I've emailed Ovo but their customer service won't be back on until Monday. I've had confirmation emails from Ovo, one of which says that my first statement will be issued on 15th November and following that I'll have full access to the online system. So I can't check my account online yet. Very strange, I've never had an account or contact with Npower previously.

How have you been with Ovo for two years? They only launched in september of last year.

Nope, it doesn't. Npower are only a Supplier, not a reading collection agent hence they only collect their own.

This looks a bit dodgy and doesn't appear to want any readings.

I know Npower are outsourcing to a company to obtain readings by outbound diallers but this doesn't look like it.

Ovo use a company called Lowri Beck to collect meter readings.

The actual website is http://www.myreading.net/ which is for Lowri Beck.

Lowri Beck are a contractor to npower (and presumably Ovo, as the previous poster says). The person from Lowri Beck probably just got them confused.
