Do I have poor memory or is my bill really too much?
I've moved into a new place and got the first quarterly bill. My place is a small 2 bedroom bungalow. I live alone, don't really cook much, have the usual basic appliances, all energy saving bulbs, a water tank with heater (set for 1 hour per night), electric shower and one electric oil radiator and one small storage…

British Gas Meter-Debt
Hi, We moved into our flat in June 2005. The gas is on a pre pay card with British gas. Since we started putting money onto it we noticed that it was taking money for "debt". We usually put £8 on £5 of this would go on the emergency and we thought £3 would be able to be used straight away. But the meter was taking up to…

My Powergen price cap is coming to an end on April 1st. Obviously all the reductions across the industry have started to happen but my question is this. ...apologies if it's a common question from a newbie...but has anyone any advice for someone wanting to move off pre-payment Gas? The reasons for being on it (small arrears, restricted budget) are thankfully less of an issue now and therefore want to move onto monthly (or whatever) billing as putting at least £20 a WEEK in…
