As has been previously mentioned, Ebico usually change their pricing policy in September.

So we may have a bit of a wait yet.

  • "SSE’s average dual-fuel bill of £873 will compare with £909 at npower, £913 at Powergen and £953 at British Gas once its rivals' price cuts take effect. Scottish Power and EDF Energy have still to act.

Tim Wolfenden, senior product manager at uSwitch.com, the price comparison website, said SSE’s cuts were “great news”.

“This puts a stake in the ground and shows the cheapest energy supplier of last year is going to be the cheapest energy supplier this year as well.”

I bet BG go again, I would not be surprised to find them the cheapest again come the summer.

I reckon BG are in a very strong position price wise.

The next few months shall be very interesting.

SSE said that they would `blow Bg out of the water`

BG`s head honcho Sam Laidlaw replied `bring it on` ;)

I've been with SSE for a while now. They sent a letter just this side of xmas stating that they were going to cut prices, with detail to follow accordingly. This was WAY before BG announced their cuts. The detail now published I believe puts them still way cheaper than BG, so I for one will probably not need to change supplier for the forseeable future. Nice one SSE :D
