My partner has just finished a year long college course and has tried to claim JSA while she is looking for a job. Her claim has been rejected, she phoned up and asked why and they said you can't claim after leaving education. She is 25 years old. Does anyone know if this is correct or what she can do?

Can you actually work upto 16 hours a week and claim
Incapactiy or/and disability allowance without ANY deductions from his allowance. Apparantly, he will have to pay 30 quid tax credits, but gets to get the remaining amount he works for (16 hours pay minus £30). My friend says he's doing it, but is this even legal? If so the system is messed up.
