Overpaid By Last Job, What To Do?

Hi all, I changed jobs around two months ago now and just a couple of days ago my previous job paid me again, I assume its a mistake and have contacted them but where do I stand with it, can I keep the money as its there mistake or can they make me give it back as I shouldnt of got it? Any help is much appreiciated :]

Thanks for the replies, good job I havent spent it! But I will wait and see whether they do request it back

you will have to pay it back, but make sure you understand the calculations, perhaps you were working in hand or something. I was slightly suprised (to the tune of a week's pay) when I left my prev employer recently.

Also i believe they have up to 6 years to claim it back - so much better to get it sorted now than a few years down the line recieving a letter demanding payment!

Well I was paid a month after leaving also which I assume was for working so much in hand and remaining holiday pay, so thats why this second payment got me to question it, but thanks for the heads up I would rather pay it back and get it sorted straight away :]
