item posted
I've won an ebay item, collection in person only, knowing that I would be passing that way (about 40miles away) in the week so should have no trouble picking it up. The price is good (but that's why I bid) and would undoubtedly have been more if the seller had offered postage. I've paid via paypall and contacted the seller…

Ebay - am I doing something wrong?
I've just started selling bits and pieces on ebay. I've accepted that I can't access my money for 21 days, or sell more than 10 items a month etc and spent ages photographing, measuring and listing things. I sold 3 items a week and a half ago, posted them by First Class post 24 hours later and... nothing. I charged exactly…

Overchaged by Post Office?
Hi, Just a quick question before I go and complain next time I'm at the post office. I sent a parcel out using Express 48 at the post office checked the parcelforce website and for the weight it should of been £10.50. I posted multiple things at the same time and only noticed once I had left that they charged £12.60 for…

Non paying bidder
Hiya all, Another question please! I have a non paying bidder, have messaged them twice and also opened an unpaid item case. Not had any response even though buyer has been having feedback left so has obviously been buying from other sellers. What actually happens if I close the case? Does the buyer just get away with not…

Customs charges on US order
I paid over $44 in postage when I ordered a small item from an American ebay seller, but today I got a customs letter charging me £22.03 in import vat and fees before they will release the item to me! I assumed the big postage cost would include whatever it takes to get my item through customs. Is the seller at fault?

Ebay Scammers
Not a buyer or indeed a seller but ebay themselves. I had to do a bulk edit of some items last night, 134 in total. As I clicked to process it it told me the charges for this would be £434!! The swines had added in the gallery and picture packs on around half the listings. The listings certainly didn't go on with these…

Ebay bending the rules?
Anyone had issues with Ebay lately? My wife has excellent feedback and stands at 100% but ONE buyer scored her a star less for postage. She cannot argue it or see where it was given and it means she now has 4.8 out 5. Ebay now send her monthly warnings telling her it must improve and she now cannot take advantage of free…

Amazon orders
I have recently started selling on Amazon and wondered whether I will receive a mail notification from Amazon of a sale, or will I need to check my account daily ?

Blocking a bidder?
~I made use of the free listing weekend to put a few items on ebay. I have a large item on htere which has been bid on by somebody with a feedback of 2 - their feedback is one positive and one false positive, after reading this forum over the last couple of months i am really wary of allowing this person to bid as the…

Collect plus
I have sold an item on eBay that I will be sending via collect plus, I will be using the option for the item to be collected from their local shop. How strict are they with the size of the box? On the website it says it needs to be 50x30x30 and m box is 52x31x31. Do you think I can get away with using this box?

I won the BB for £72 + £7 postage and paid immediately via paypal. I recieved a message via ebay from the seller at 11.30pm (Monday night) that they wanted to…

Everyone seems to be sending their dvds recorded these days
Just goes to show how many how been scammed by the ridiculously easy "I haven't received my item" trick (when in fact they have received the item). I don't blame sellers. Problem is, I think sellers are scrimping on the packaging in order to pay the extra cost. Plus there are a lot of sellers who advertise £2.25 as the…

Ebay not as described
Hi, I have just received a horse rug bought from a private seller via ebay auction. It was described as in good condition and with no rips or tears. For the non-horsey amongst you, think of this as a waterproof winter coat. On receipt I found that the rug has 4 very large patches on the front where it has been repaired…
