Having probs with Payplan
I thought they were fantastic at the start. Basically, aside from my other debts. I have a personal loan with Natwest, my bank. I was advised by the nice man not to worry about cancelling this DD as they will refuse anyway (which they did because I tried anyway) and they will take care of it for me. I then receive a letter…

That wknd thread by "the_unknown"
Hi all This isn't completely a DFW question, so i'm not expecting it to last that long (seems the DFW board police are getting stricter)... but just out of interest... whatever happened to that thread from the weekend written by "the_unknown" ? - the guy who claimed to be bullied at school, 21 yrs old, never had a job and…

I'm in total disbelief!
After following the advice on these forums and also https://www.bankcharges.info I have managed to get £1180 of bank charges refunded from https://www.smile.co.uk. It will really help make a dent in my debts, and I would recommend ANYONE who hasn't sent a letter to the bank to do it NOW! MrP

Not enough money to live on very depressed
I am not in debt as such but am struggling just to meet everyday bills. For your information, myself and my husband are in our early 50's. We rent a house and we have no savings whatsoever. We both work full time but have low paid jobs. There is not much chance of that changing as neither of us are qualified. Our rent is…

Do you all write down everything you spend?
I don't at the moment, but am thinking that maybe I should? I have a friend who does and she says it stops her forgetting the little things she has brought. I don't tend to buy it if I don't need it, althought sometimes go off the rails but maybe it would give me a shock to see what I do spend in black and white!

Question re Experian
Some months ago I was turned down for something because, I suspect, I've done too much stoozing and making use of current account freebies thanks to Martin's tips email. Having done nothing for a few months, I've just requested a copy of my credit file from Experian only to get an email requesting I send copies of my…
