Incomings and Outgoings Help

Hi all,

I am trying to get rid of some debts and need some info.

I am preparing a list of incomings and outgoings to send to creditors when I offer payment. Can anyone tell me the allowable amounts for each outgoing? For example the amount per household member for food each week or the amount per child for clothing each month / week etc...

Any help greatly appreciated.

Mick

I personally think you should go on what YOU as a household spend on items such as food, clothes each month. I know that there is a website with the general statistics (not sure what it is though), but if you dont spend, say £400 a month on food I dont think you should allow yourself this much.....

I am sure someone else will come along with the website/info for you.

I am sure I have heard for food it is £12 per person.

As for clothes I don't know the position with children, but my fiance is going through CCCS with his debts and they have allowed him £20 per month for clothes

i would strongly suggest you contact payplan or cccs and seek their advice. they will help you with the SoA and will obviously know what creditors usually find acceptable levels of spending.
in the end, if you want to run the DMP yourself you can still do that.

Hiya I run my own DMP with the advice of the National Debtline (they can run if for you too - but I'm a bit of a control freak!)

Their booklet is downloaded (and they'll send it through the post to you it's huge). Anyway, this PDF from their website might help http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/pdf/self_help_pack/workingout_pbs.pdf.

I've based my monthly food, clothing etc on their calculations and none of my creditors have questioned it.

I hope this helps and good luck!
