Question re Experian

Some months ago I was turned down for something because, I suspect, I've done too much stoozing and making use of current account freebies thanks to Martin's tips email.

Having done nothing for a few months, I've just requested a copy of my credit file from Experian only to get an email requesting I send copies of my utility bills, bank statements, passport and driving license to some PO Box number so they can verify my identity. Ummmm.....I don't think so!

Is this usual practise? It's not something they've ever asked me to do before.

Thanks!

sounds like spam to me - these docs would give someone all the info they need to prove id and address, very unlikely Experian would need them
