Anyone used the Debt Management with the CCCS?
Hi, has anyone got any experience of the debt management service offered by the CCCS? As I am in serious debt the only problem I can see it causing is to my credit rating which will already be in a bad state due to the problems I've had in the past, but it would be great if anyone has any experience of this service before…

Depressed
I'm very depressed tonight because I had a row with my OH about money. His paycheque is very late this week and our mortgage payment has left the bank account. We are over our overdraft limit and we have been charged £30. he blames me for mismanagement, says that I should realise his boss is unreliable and keep funds in…

Feb/Mar mindset
We pay Council Tax and Water Rate monthly, but they're spread over 10 months, so we pay only one in Feb and April, and neither in March. Instead of feeling I have more to spend, I've persuaded myself that in those 3 months I don't go shopping, and we eat as much as possible out of our stocks. Last week I thawed the carcase…

Discounted Mortgage Rate
Hi All, I overpay my mortgage every month in a bid to be mortgage free ASAP. My two year discounted rate of 4.74% is soon to end and my interest rate will increase. Charging Order Fiasco
Asset Link have gone through the correct procedure to obtain a charging order on our home but we have so far succesfully managed to frustrate their attempts. The last appearance in court Asset Link added another debt that they are dealing with to the papers. We pointed this out to the judge, both verbally and in writing,…

I've done something really silly!
I'm on a debt management plan and have been for 18mths or so. One of my creditors rang today and offered to restructure my account. They wanted to give me a loan of exactly what I owe them and will decrease my monthly payments to them and will take the same time to pay off as the plan was doing. Only 1% interest! I…

Wish I'd found this site sooner
I guess I could describe myself as a debt free wannabee. Debt has existed around me since way before I was even born as our family was always close to the breadline, and it really is just a constant cycle. Over the past couple of years my wife and I have focused on getting rid of all our combined debts - we had a total of…

Today I don't care
Took OH out last night for a slap up meal to celebrate her 5 yr checkup after breast cancer. All clear, and we had a great time. Reality can wait till the weekend. Selfish I know but sometimes youv'e got to cut a little slack, and this is one excellent reason. A major scare/illness does make you re-evaluate your lifestyle,…
