Discounted Mortgage Rate

Hi All,

I overpay my mortgage every month in a bid to be mortgage free ASAP. My two year discounted rate of 4.74% is soon to end and my interest rate will increase.

My question is - I have about £10000 left on my mortgage and would like to switch my mortgage to another lender or deal to get a better rate. However, I have read on this site that you have to have a minimum mortgage of £25000 before the majority of lenders will offer a remortgage. Is this the case?

Any advice will be appreciated.
