GE Money - Admin Costs

Hi I am sure someone on here will know the answer. I am sending my claim for bank charges to Capital One tomorrow after paying £10 for the 6 years statements.

Now my question is I have also sent a letter to GE Money and they sent a letter back today stating that to cover admin costs a charge of £0.50 will be applied to my account for each copy statement available. So if I have 6 years of statements that will cost me £36. Now I thought they could only charge me a maximum of £10, am I correct, does anyone know the answer to this one. It seems as though they are trying to put me off applying.

Thanks Broken hearted, I was going to send them a letter stating that I am asking for a subject access request and the Data Protection Act 1998 governs it. For this there is a statutory fee of £10, which I enclose.

Is this the correct thing to do.
