Clear Score
Sent to Clear Score via email... Thanks you for just sending out another email dump list from this awful company. You gave out my identity. Dozens of accounts and items stolen by Fraud as a result. To quote you... "which could indicate that the third party had prior knowledge of your personal information. Given that the…

default dates after arrangement to pay failed
hello all, I got myself into a real mess during a family members cancer diagnosis and struggled with anxiety really giving up on life! This resulted in me defaulting on a number of debts that I ended up reaching out to Stepchange to help me get back into shape. I had a number of arrangements to pay put in place but by this…

MSE Experian File
Hi, does anyone else think that the affordability report is wrong? I have put in the figure with no commas, or decimal point and pence, it is reading it wrongly? It is only on the MSE report that it says my affordability is low, I know it isn't, can't understand it.

Why has my Credit Score dropped so much?
Hi! I recently checked my Credit Score for the first time in a while, and it had dropped significantly from the last time I looked, so I'm now in the mid-range 'yellow' zone (on experian, I don't know how others show it). I'm struggling to understand why. Our mortgage is currently my only 'debt'; aside from an agreed…

Double Default On Report
Good morning, I was issued with a default from Barclaycard in September 2019, the debt was then sold to a debt collection agency who then issued a further default in October 2019. On my clearscore account it states 'you have 2 defaults or repossessions on our report' with these two listed. I have contacted the debt…

Car finance PCH, not PCP = less impact?
For the last 6-7 yrs, i've had a car PCP contract (coming to the end of my 2nd one). The whole amount of the car loan sits on my credit file. I never have the intention of owing it at the end so am wondering if a PCH option is better? You don't have the option of keeping it so would this therefore mean the whole amount of…

Cifas DSAR
Just out of curiosity I decided to check CIFAS to see if anything recorded about me. Two days later I got this (which I think came back really quickly) "As of the above date, there is no Cifas data on our systems registered in your name and date of birth at the address(es) you supplied." I assume all good here?

Trying to rebuild credit file. How many credit cards?
I am coming to the point where my precious poor decisions are falling off my credit report and my ‘score’ is beginning to climb. I have no defaults on my file now, and have 2 ccjs that have 12 months left before they fall off. Everything else has dropped off this year. As a result, I’m starting to see pre approved credit…

Partial settlement and credit files
Hi all, After six long years my defaults have disappeared from my credit file. I am contemplating making a partial settlement on the debts, but am worried that making such a settlement would mean that the defaulted debts would suddenly be visible again on my credit file. Can someone tell me if this is so? Kind regards, SII

How long to clear?
I recently applied for 2 car loans and was approved, but at silly rates so I did not take them. I then thought I'd switch tack and put my only 2k of debt onto a 0% balance transfer card - I usually have them throwing credit cards at me, but it was point blank refused! After investigation, it turned out my ex husband ran up…

97% on Experian, but refused credit card switch
Hi, Experian rates me as excellent, I have been paying off a credit card debt for a few years by switching to 0% cards, the time has come for a change but I tried 3 cards (Barclaycard twice, because when I tried my approval rate with them it had a 97% chance of success) but was turned down all times. I had changed bank…

Credit Score for Landloards
I was reading a listing for renting a property in Manchester, working away from home. In the listing it says you need a "Credit Score" of 650 - 1000. How could they possibly see a factious score from Credit Agencies? Are Estate Agents trying to change the way lettings work?
