Section 75 and credit cards
I've ordered a door, and paid the deposit with my Mastercard. Should I pay the balance with my Visa credit card (ie will it be better to be protected by two cards rather than one, in case anything goes wrong?) Or will it just complicate matters if I use more than two cards. Hopefully nothing should go wrong, but you never…

Has anyone used refund protection on an Amex card?
Hi just made a claim on the refund protection loaded on my amex preferred gold charge card. I bought a jacket from a UK retailer for £250 but decided it was unsuitable but (to my dismay) I was 1 day outside the returns window of 14 days and I was refused a refund! I called Amex this morning and I filled a claim. Does…

Barclaycard Cashback removing the 1% Amex card
Got a letter today, Barclaycard are dropping the 1% cashback Amex card and the Visa card to be replaced with a single card offering 0.5% cashback. 1% cashback ends on July 13. Is 0.5% still the best? Might have to switch over to Amex proper now.

Used car write-off and Section 75
We bought a used VW Passat in August 2016 with a 3 month warranty. We'd had a similar model before and as the advert suggests VWs are pretty reliable right (apart from emissions issues maybe!) so thought 3 months warranty would be OK. Purchase price was £4,450, funded by £4,000 part exchange and £450 on a credit card. At…

2% security deposit refund
Hey guys I paid a security deposit for a campervan of £250, + a 2% charge because it was on a credit card = £255. I was then refunded £245. When I asked why there was a discrepancy I was told it is due to a 2% refund charge as it was a credit card. This cannot be right??
