Section 75 and credit cards

in Credit cards
I've ordered a door, and paid the deposit with my Mastercard.
Should I pay the balance with my Visa credit card (ie will it be better to be protected by two cards rather than one, in case anything goes wrong?)
Or will it just complicate matters if I use more than two cards.
Hopefully nothing should go wrong, but you never know!

Should be an open and shut case...
Seriously - I would worry that if you used two different cards the two card companies might start arguing about who has liability, or about how they share the refund, which might all get in the way if you needed to make a claim. So I would suggest better to stick to one card, then it's all clear cut.Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be0 -
Stick to one card so they can follow it through completetly0

Thanks, I used the same card to pay the balance.0

If you do use two credit cards there's no need to advise whoever you approach for a S75 claim that you've done this.
If card A knocks you back, try card B for a claim.
Then you have the option of escalating both to the FOS or court.
Could be great fun if different FOS assessors come up with different decisions.0 -

But what if they ask me how I paid for the rest of the cost?0
