2nd Aqua card due to arrive this or next week.

Looking forward to my 2nd Aqua card asit's my 1st balance transfer card approx upto 10 yrs.

Wonder if I'll get higher limit than 1st Aqua card to make use of 6mth0% balance transfer.

And no I havn't paid 1st card in full though only approx 35% used with a set DD of 15-25 p/month-I'ts a techy purchase type card though the small limit won't excatly get me a desired ipad pro 9.7

    I'll answer in due course.

I only applied after reading another mser's post a few months ago when the poster advised mutiple aqua cards were possible if timed 3-6 months apart.

Though all I have is 1 card in +40%apr range-300 limit,
And my recently accepted online application for balance tramsfer card.

I'll re post either way in a week or two.

I know Capital one do allow more than one card, and then allow you to merge them.

Wasn't aware Aqua allowed more than one.

    Interesting.

I did read your cap1 advice quite some time ago, again mentioned in aother thread.

I haveI cap 1 small balance+luma medium balance.

What if any benifit does one gain by merging cards?

Almost certain apr's are almost identical

Why do you want / need 2 credit cards? Aqua is for poor credit if I'm right? If you can't afford purchases don't buy stuff. If you can ( and it sounds like you can afford them) just pay cash.

    Excellent advice.
As I have mentioned prevously, I did get into using debit card only until 2014.

Since got an idea of re building my credit rating ahead of dmp ending late 2019.

It's quite a learning experiance with the aim of maintaining reasonbly low credit balances or clear when I can.

My recent cards since 2014 range from 250-1k limits-highest balance 600 after a home emergancy last year.

Only real reason is to have a large limit and possibly a slightly better APR (very slight).

That and im sure transfering a decent amount when applying to Barclay card influenced the £3500 limit.

Agree it may result in a combined larger limit+larger minmum payment which I want avoid for the time being before starting reduced hours, though could be a furture consideration.

Yes if not really needed id pay off which ever has the lowest balance (helped me feel like id made a difference) and chip away at larger balance.
