Aqua balance transfer card

  • HI All,

I have an aqua card for the last 3 years in the hope of building my credit score and its working. However the interest rate has increased and the rates are killing me. I always pay off more than the minimum but that cant go on due to the high rates now.

So I want to transfer to a card with 0 % interest for a period of time so I can get ahead and pay the card off . My credit rating is not good enough for the usual high street companies.

Can I apply for another Aqua card with a 0% for 6 months and transfer my balance from one Aqua to another Aqua??
If not any suggestions on companies that deal with poor credit score but have a smaller interest rate?

    Many thanks
    Kat

Unfortunately you'd be unable to balance transfer from one Aqua card to another.

You could consider the Capital One Balance credit card:

    https://www.totallymoney.com/credit-cards/credit-cards-bad-credit/card/capital-one-balance-card/

    There's a fee of 3% but it's 0% for six months.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

    2nd Aqua arrived today.
    450 limit 0% trsnsfers 6 mths.
34.9 apr- afew percent lower than Aqua first card @44.9.

Think I,ll t/fer 300 from luma or maybe 150 from each other card, haven't decided yet though Luma@600 is by far my largest current limit.

    1 from 1 or 3 from 1

does it make more sense to transfer 100 from 3 cards or 300 from 1 card.

Ahead of taking advantage of Aqua 0% balance transfers 6 mths.

As card is acctivated today, think I should make use of my'no spend card'

This will be ustiliesd for balance transfers only.

I know Capital one do allow more than one card, and then allow you to merge them.

Wasn't aware Aqua allowed more than one.

I've merged a few capital one cards, my limit is over 7k now with them! Seems they have a bit of a loophole!

I stopped merging at a couple of grand...id hate to think what if i maxed them out and couldn't afford to pay.

Now ive transfered to Barclaycard and Tesco both on 0% intrest im feeling very very relieved.

Still cant believe the £3500 limit with Barclaycard.

Yes I agree, I've not bothered applying for anymore, I was able to get Capital Ones low rate balance transfer card so it's a better rate 19.9% standard and 6.9% fee free balance transfers. Not as hideous as their bad credit cards!

Think there rate is only 1% higher than my cards..so pretty damn good at that %.

These cards certainly have helped me get back into normal (ish very very ish lol) credit cards,so they do as advertised.

Offer credit at eye watering % to allow you to prove you can repay and run the account in a sensible manner.:)
