Abbey Credit Card
I was wondering if anyone here has ever had any luck getting Abbey to reduce APRs or give them any offers when requested over the phone? My balance is now 0 and in past experiences with other companies, high APRs are normally reduced when you ask niceley and have 0 balance. OR I normally get offered some deal or other.…

Card charges by travel firms
Why is is that I have to pay 2.5% to pay by credit card? I'm in retail and I only pay a commission to the bank of 1.15% if a customer pays by card. This seems like blatant profiteering by the travel firms (Thomson and Easyjet spring to mind). They must get a better deal with the banks than I can! All well and good advising…

AMEX doubling min payments!
In 2006 I took out an AMEX special offer at 4.9% for the life of the balance with a min repayment of 2.5% per month. The attraction was cheap money with an affordable min payment. Now they want to double it! This may mean I cannot afford it and will default. Is this legal? Do I have any redress for misrepresentation?
