I was wondering if anyone here has ever had any luck getting Abbey to reduce APRs or give them any offers when requested over the phone? My balance is now 0 and in past experiences with other companies, high APRs are normally reduced when you ask niceley and have 0 balance. OR I normally get offered some deal or other. Abbey won't do, they called my bluff about closing the account. Only reason I've kept the card open is to buy some flights. I'll pay that off and ditch it for good.
