Help - Cap One refusing reduced payment

Just phone cap on asking if they receceived my letter stating unable to meet required amount, offered reduced amount and asked for interest and charges to be frozen. Spoken to customer adviser who just said sorry that you cannot make the monthly required payment but if you pay the £100.00 you will still be charged £12.00 late payment fee.

Really fed up now will call the collections dept in the morning and see if I get any joy with them, has anyone else had this response and if so have you been successful in setting up a payment arrangement.
