Virgin Mastercard Late Payment Catch
Thought I would warn everyone about sharp practice by Virgin. I recently did a balance transfer to Virgin and requested to move my payment date to the 5th of the month. No problem for all future payments, just not for the first month. Okay, I then asked if given the circumstances the £12 late payment fee could be waived.…

I took out a Barclaycard recently on a 14 month 0% offer and when I rang to activate the card was told I had to set up a direct direct every month to pay the balance off. I have done so, but really I can't afford for that money to be going on a 0% debt when I have other debts to pay with bigger APRs. Is there any reason…

"charge off account" - but I'm not in debt!
Hi folks, I just checked my credit card statement and saw that the line "charge off account" was added to it yesterday. I had to look this up and was pretty concerned with what I read - I glean that it's some kind of bad debt write-off. Bad debt write-off for what though? I'm not in debt. I pay off my credit card in full…

Just been offered (unsolicited) 0% on BTs until Nov 08 (no BT fee) then reverts to (currently) 17.95% Or 3.9% for life of balance. No BT fee. Looks too good to be true- or is it that the people who set the markets have sussed out that this time next year, interest rates will have moved south?
