Cap One no fee BT offer to April 1st 08
Could I ask if anyone applied for the cap 1 no fee 0% BT to April 1st card as I did recently. It's still mentioned on Martin's suggestions but to me it looks like the deal has been taken away. I checked with the 3 main agencies just before applying and confirmed high scores with all (top 80% - I've never missed any…

Revealing credit card details through e-mail
Hi, Sometimes we have to make bookings through e-mail, for example rental cars/hotel bookings. For all the bookings that I have made so far, they normally require two things, the 1st of which is the 15/16 digit card number at front, and 2ndly usually the expiry date of the card. One that I have dealt with does not require…

Please help - probably a silly question
Hi, Can someone tell me if you can pay a credit card balance off with another credit card and whether this is treated as a 'cash' transaction (ie expensive) or just a purchase? I'm thinking of doing this to avoid paying extra balance transfer fees. Any advice gratefully received Buggins

Excessive credit card interest - advice
Hello, My partner has a lot of credit cards (nearly £40,000 worth) and is currently paying for e.g. around £200 per month per card but only clearing around £20 in total off all his card balances because the interest rates are so high (he also has missed payments on them and so gets charged for letters etc). Paying off credit cards
Can anyone help - I have some spare cash to pay off my credit cards in single payments. However, I don't want to pay off the full amount because I want to save to cash from my debts. If I call up and negotiate to pay off say 75% there and then will they write off the remaining 25%. Does anyone know if this is worth a try?

Vanquis - beware interest charge
I have been a good lad and have been paying off my statement balances, mainly because I am terrified of the near 50% interest that applies on this card. To my astonishment, I was charged 75 pence!!! last month when it was obvious I had paid off my current and previous statement balances. I telephoned Vanquis (at a cost of…

Beware - Late Payment on 0% card - interest charged
We currently have a 0% interest MBNA card. Last month partly due to the postal strike and the fact we were away for a week our payment was two days late. For this they charged us a £12 fee. However, they also charged us interest, which was a lot more than £12!! They were also going to remove the 0% completely but we rang…

Hi, I applied for 2 credit cards with 0% deals on them over the last few weeks. The Barclay card 0% for 14 months (2.5% BT fee) and the Capital One 0% until April 2008 (no fee). Credit Card Repayment structure bad for Consumer
Martin, I am wondering if you could write an article to help clarify the way that the money you repay to a credit card goes to clear off your debt you have on it. I have a couple of cards, (RBS Platinum and Halifax One), and Halifax One are up front about the way you get charged interest, and the way that your repayments…

I'm going to be sending the one I had yesterday back…
