Post office credit card
Hi there, I just wanted to tell you about the fact that the Post office credit card has a minimum earning criteria which is not made clear on their website or in their leaflet. It is only made clear when you phone the freephone number to speak to an advisor. I applied online yesterday and was told I would get a decision in…

Credit Card Spies
I didn't know whether to put this post in the computer section or here. Anyway here it is. I'm thinking of applying for the Nat West card sometime in the future so I went to their site and clicked on apply to see what would happen. My spy protection programs immediatley killed the connection because of an attempt to…

MBNA Annual Fee
I've read reports on here that MBNA is introducing an annual fee to some customers, this is its response. "MBNA has introduced an annual fee on a small number of existing MBNA Customer accounts. This represents a fraction of one per cent of our Customer base. Annual fees are not new, a number of our cards already operate…

Paying off secured loan with credit card
Before I became a "money saving expert" hubby and I were bamboozled into a secured loan with First National. I've asked for a settlement figure - it will probably be around £2700. I think the best thing to do would be to see if I could whack it on a 0% c/c - I currently have enough credit to do this on my Virgin 0% -…

BarclayCard Interest Rate
I was surpirsed to receive a BarclayCard throught the post this morning. It's a BarclayCard Initial and the limit is £2000 with a 25.9% rate. What I'd like to know is, does the rate come down after you've been using the card for a bit? Or do you have to switch cards?

Minimum payment by store credit?
I've noticed, to my horror, that I'd missed the deadline for the minimum payment on my Sainsbury's cc. I know that, technically, I could have curtailed my interest-free term that still has 6 months to run. However, since my last statement, I have received 2 store credits for goods returned, that are way over the minimum…

I read an article in one of the weekend papers about buying Premium Bonds using credit cards offering the 0% deal then repaying before incurring any interest. As you can only buy them with cash or debit card, can anyone explain to a novice moneysaver how this one works please?

Can I carry on credit card free indefinitely??
Hi everyone, just had an interesting conversation with my friend at the weekend! I'm 26 now and have never had an 'active' credit card. I was given one through the HSBC as a student which was never used, I only got them as part of the whole student deal. They have now not bothered reissuing them to me as I never bothered…

Incorrect entry on Experian credit file
Long story, but I recently obtained a copy of my Experian credit file just out of interest (had no problems with gaining credit anywhere - it was just curiosity), there was an entry from Vodafone Communications saying that I had a default of £120 from back in 2000. Now the strange thing is that I have had various Vodafone…

Chargebacks
About a month ago a company overcharged my Mastercard on the remainder of an order I had outstanding with them. Basically they fulfilled the order at a new stock price when I had agreed to pay the price they quoted at the time. No T&Cs appear visible on their site saying they might do this and there was no notification.…
