in Credit cards
I thought I'd posted this before but just went through my posts and couldnt see it so.... apologies if this is a duplicate!!
We have some money credited on our egg card which I would like paid into our joint account since we wont be using the egg again for spending.
How do I do this? Do I just do it as if paying off an overdraft??
Thanks

Yup, assuming you don't have a balance transfer fee, and assuming it is over the minimum balance transfer amount, no probs.

Just thought of another option, if it is an egg money card, ie old blue card, you can make a cash withdrawal at an atm too.

I'm assuming you have a pre-May 1st 2005 Egg green...
1. Carry out an online balance transfer of the "credit" amount. Log in to your account and from the "move money" menu, select "balance transfer" and then "transfer an overdraft" from the options available. The minimum BT allowed is £100, and I'm not sure if you can transfer "pence" as well?
2. Call them up (08451 233 233) and ask them to do a BACS transfer of the credit amount to your current account.0 -

Is this not simply a balance transfer by another name?
More intriguingly, is this type of transfer the same one as the kind mentioned by Pricy147 in the original Egg Money card discussion here, which allegedly gave cashback on such special transfers?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -

I don't know if it's the same "pricy" but check out this thread on the Fool website...
