Oldndim
I'm now retired and have tried getting a credit card for shopping on the internet etc, but have been refused presumably because my income is not sufficient. I don't want to keep getting tuned down as this may go against my credit rating. How can I get round this? Are some banks more lenient? :confused

Chance of getting a late payment fee refunded?
I am very annoyed this morning after getting a credit card bill from American Express with a late payment fee on it. I always pay my bill in full so I am not happy. The reason last month's bill was not paid is because I didn't receive a bill. As I haven't been using the card lately I assumed I hadn't gotten a bill because…

Balance transfer question - right up to the limit?
I've searched for the answer to this, but can't find it. My apologies if it has already been asked and answered. When making a balance transfer to a newly-acquired card, it is OK to transfer funds right up to the credit limit on the new card? (Assuming that the terms and conditions permit this, of course.) In my case, the…

Apologies if this subject has been discussed elsewhere, but the search does not give me anything and three times sent me to an error page. When Martin told subscribers Amazon was giving £15 with the first purchase if you used their credit card, I took out one and have been using it for some time. The problem is: the points…

Egg Money Card
Basically the new Egg Money card where you put 'spending money' on it and use that instead of cc or debit cards. According to the calculator on the egg page I will be approximately £100 better off with it. So basically is it worth it? Is it a good thing to do?
