Am I being ripped off??

Can someone help me out, just did some BTs onmy new Lloyds TSB platinum, received today and activated today, and been told by the adviser that there is a 2% fee!!!, Read Martins article on BT and it says NO FEE in the first 6 weeks, How do I go about it????
Help please :D

    Get your T&C out, the ones that you signed, should say if there is a fee or not. I just looked at the T&C on their website and it does indeed say no fee in first 6 weeks.

    You have a case use the terms :)

    It doesn't say it in the website T&C's though - only in the summary box.

    When I carried out my BT to LTSB earlier this year, the only "hard & fast" reference to the first six weeks condition was in the T&C's booklet, sent with my direct mailshot, and on the back of my signed application form.

    I've recently posted a full report on the LTSB six week BT situation over on the stoozing website. My post concludes that, in order to avoid any issues with the BT fee, it's probably best to apply for this card via application form from a LTSB branch.
