Warning re interest charges

First post!
Hi all
I have just received my latest card bill and it had an interest charge on it despite me paying in full on the due date by telephone banking -instant debit/credit.
It was aparently because when I paid it, it was allready tomorrow at the call centre in INDIA
To pay took an age, as I was having problems with us understanding each other, fortunatly when I complained about the charge it was to a UK centre and they removed it - but they had no responce when I asked about the telephone charges for the 2 calls, 1 longer than it had to be and the 2nd shouldn't have been necessary Cheek!
OK so I act like him but my name aint Meldrew ]
