I was approved by Starling for a bounce back loan. I had never applied for an overdraft or loan from Starling and up until February and March I always had some money coming in. I applied for a Bounce back Loan which they approved. I have been waiting over a week for the funds to be deposited. In the meantime Starling have…

The pictures of Sir Tom being knighted by the Queen.
What a remarkable story, culminating in the wonderful pictures today of HM knighting Sir Tom. Also his interviews afterwards. I liked it when the clever journalists asked what had been said between him and the Queen, expecting a big scoop, but Sir Tom said "that is private"------no flies on Tom ! Another of those stories…

Greek hotel no opening - voucher - insurance
Any advice welcome: We were due to fly out on 31st July to Corfu. We booked the flights and hotel separately (basically replicating the Thomas Cook holiday we had booked and lost). Had an email from the hotel today saying they wouldn't be opening all summer because: They didn't have many bookings as a result of losing…

Another Gym question
Both myself and my partner paid for 12 months membership upfront before lock down. The gym froze all memberships from the day they closed which was fair. Today we have received notification of the new opening conditions, which means we are limited to one hour per day across all the sites, this is to include a 10 minute…

How and where would you quarantine abroad if you caught Covid-19 on holiday?
Hi, Sorry if i've missed this in other threads. Most advice seems to be about claiming refunds and quarantining on arrival/return due to your chosen country not being on the FCO "safe list". But, what I'd like to know is what happens if you catch Covid -19 whilst on holiday? Specifically, how and where would you…

Air Canada now issuing refunds

Refund when outbound flight cancelled but not inbound flight
We had return flights booked to Spain. Easyjet have cancelled our outbound flights and we have requested a refund but the inbound flight is still operating and they are not offering a refund for that. Obviously if we are not flying out we will not need a flight back. So hard to try and get hold of anyone at easy jet.

Unfair return from Furlough
I've been asked to return from Furlough (since end March) on Monday - on the brief conversation I had with my boss I was told that I would be required to work on Sundays upon my return (my contracted days are Monday to Saturday, and was asked to volunteer for Sundays last year, with a financial incentive, which I declined…

Dentists
What's the situation with dentists in England. I have a chipped tooth that needs a filling and another tooth that needs a crown. No pain yet, but its on the way and just getting the research in now. When will fillings and drills be allowed again. I have read January 2021. Assuming England is a no go. Any other European…

Furloughed staff holidays. Mandatory carry over to next year?
I own a business and have furloughed staff since March. Most are back at work on a part time basis and some are back full time. I've paid staff at full salary rate rather than 80% whilst furloughed and absorbed the additional cost myself. I appreciate that staff are still entitled to their full holiday while furloughed so…
