Debit card overlap period
I received new Co-op debit card this morning, valid from 09/18 and used it for a small contactless purchase in a shop. A couple of hours later, I made a payment through the Barclaycard app, (where details of debit cards are saved) and used the CVV from my old card valid to end 10/18. In the past I've always destroyed 'old'…

If I open a current account and then immediately switch it, does someone in the first bank see that I opened an account with them just to switch? Is there actually a person sitting there, frowning as he gives the second bank my details, or is it just computers? In other words, is there a person in the bank I'm switching…

M&S bank switch now requires 4 DDs
FYI - I just noticed that the T&Cs for the M&S bank switching bonus have changed... they now require FOUR active direct debits! Not sure how this will affect existing customers... they sure don't want to make things easy for us anymore :( The 5% regular saver seems to still only need 2 DDs for now, but you need to switch…

Active direct debits
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I'm trying to set up 2 Direct Debits in a bank account so I can do a switch to another bank. One of the DD's I was going to use is to a credit card I don't often use, so there wouldn't always be a payment each month. I'm presuming this would still be considered as a valid DD?…
