If I open a current account and then immediately switch it, does someone in the first bank see that I opened an account with them just to switch? Is there actually a person sitting there, frowning as he gives the second bank my details, or is it just computers?
In other words, is there a person in the bank I'm switching from dealing with the switch, or is it computerized?

I've always chosen to believe that the process is fully automated...I guess I could be wrong...But why does it matter?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
It's all automated so no-one should really care - but it might hurt your banking relationship if you ever want to open an account with that bank again in future as they will have that information on file to be considered as a part of any subsequent application0

As for why I care. I want to do this for a lot of people, and if someone see's such activity in large volume it might cause problems.Don't spend time saving less money than you could earn in that time on minimum wage...:laugh:0 -

This doesnt make sense. How can you switch for a lot of people ?0 -
Simple. I have siblings and friends who let me use they're account for recommending, and then give me the cash (minus a small tip...)Don't spend time saving less money than you could earn in that time on minimum wage...:laugh:0

Nope, still doesnt make sense ? How can you use someone elses account ? You can only switch your own account.0 -
Am talking about referring other people. I help them through the process. The biggest reason people don't want to do a switch is simply because they want to keep their old account. So I tell them they can open a new one then switch itDon't spend time saving less money than you could earn in that time on minimum wage...:laugh:0

If people are giving you money for doing their own switch, they must be extremely stupid. How do you get over the fact that they have to close their old account ?0
