Just Switched - Dilemma

Hi there - I’ve just switched bank accounts from Halifax to NatWest (last Monday) to find out today that they are offering a £125 switch incentive. Bummer!!
Do you think I would be eligible? I understand that the bank wouldn’t have been able to tell me (or know for that matter) but I was in no rush to switch (and thought all the switches had been and gone earlier in the year). Would it just be bank goodwill?
Any help or advice would be appreciated (also new to forums so you’re dealing with a beginner!).

As I understand it the Nat West Offer only starts today so yes it looks like you have missed out. No harm in ringing and asking though. The offer is valid for existing customers if you haven't had a switching bonus from NatWest/RBS before - you'll have to switch another account to your new NatWest account to be eligible, but that should be simple as you have until 7th Jan 2019 to open an account elsewhere and switch it to NatWest. You could try talking to them and see if your previous switch will count (make sure to get any response in writing if they say you are eligible) but I personally wouldn't count on it.0

I’m afraid the switch completed last Monday so think it’s just a case of bad timing. Have followed up with the branch but the contact we have is on annual leave for a bit. Might try ringing the helpline. Thanks for your comments though 😀0
