Downgraded Nationwide FlexPlus part way through November - charged the full £10
I understood that my account would be downgraded immediately - and it showed as such on my online banking and via the Nationwide app. I was expecting to be charged pro rata for the days I still had FlexPlus. Have I missed something? Anyone else downgraded and had a problem? Do they reinstate the overcharged amount in a few…

post office employee tampered with my account
Hello To cut a long story short, I opened an account with the post office and closed it within 6 months as the service and set up was so poor. I had to make a number of complaints during that time and switched to another bank. During the switchover process, an employee went into my account and changed a direct debit. I…

Problems with Santander app?
I use a Santander app on my phone, and in the past few days the login has been very slow. Today it gave up in the middle of a payment. I've now made the payment on my computer- hoping it doesn't go through twice! Anyone else having problems, or is it just me?

Anyone had letters when paying someone's old account after they switch?
Has anyone paid someone's old closed bank account by mistake, the payment been redirected to their new account, and then actually had a letter from anywhere informing you of their new payment details? If so, how much information did the letter give? And did it come from your bank, their old bank, or their new bank?

Solicitor defrauded by simple con
I only listen to Money Box on podcast so a bit late to the party on this one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b06f4vqf What I found shocking was the BBC's sympathetic attitude to the lady in question. How in heck can a solicitor - who presumably can't become a solicitor without a bit of worldly nous as well as some basic…

First Direct - how long before paying out?
I recently moved (end of October) to First Direct using the MSE deal for the £150 cashback and have paid in the requisite £1000, but I haven't yet received the £150 that was advertised. Those of you who have taken on one of those deals with FD, how long did you have to wait for the cashback to be paid?

Problems with Intelligent Finance IBAN's - please help!!
I live abroad, and though I can get money from my exchange dealer here to my girlfriends Lloyds account back in the UK, I've singularly failed in a year of trying, to get money direct from a local exchange dealer directly into my Intelligent Finance account in the UK. Every time, the money is sent - it comes back as soon…

UK introducer bank if working abroad?
I'm giving some (very early stage) thought to working abroad (either for a while, or possibly indefinitely) elsewhere in Europe (probably France, Germany or Switzerland, maybe Denmark or Sweden). If I were to take the leap and do so, does it help to have an existing UK current account with any particular UK/international…

We will be able to…

I bought an item of clothing in New York in January 2004 for $45.99, can anyone help me convert this into how much I paid for it in GB Sterling. I've tried googling it and found the exchange rates at the time but I've no idea how to do this.…

First Direct - Second Current Account
Me and my other half have opened a new joint account at First Direct, and intend to switch over soon.
