Options
Hi
Anyone used YBS Money Manager today ?
All my external accounts have disappeared, on two different PCs I use. (I use Internet Explorer 11 on both )

Is it me or them ?
Thanks

    It's them.

Try accountunity - it is what YBS MM is based on, just better. They should also have a new version soon that supports more than IE.
  • Thanks for the quick reply .
I think I read somewhere on the YBS website they are not bothered about updating it any further.
Time to look for an alternative ..(.starting with accountunity )

I was using it this morning, this afternoon it had gone.

    I found this on Q & A

I cannot see my external accounts and want to re-register for the Money Manager service where is the link?

The issue with viewing your accounts is due to the browser you are using having been updated and appearing to be incompatible with the Money Manager service. This has issue has been raised with our provider and an investigation is ongoing. Reregistering using the same browser will not resolve the problem; if possible please revert to using an older version of the browser.

Due to the above issue we are no longer accepting new registrations for the Money Manager service.

This seems to have been cobbled together quickly and not even proof read!

Fortunately I previously used it on Firefox and it is still working on there.

As the YBS MM is based on accountunity, which has been working with almost 100% reliability for the last 5+ years, and as YBS seem to have a very relaxed attitude about their MM, I wouldn't bother with YBS MM any longer and just move to accountunity.

You'll have to start from scratch entering your login data But one nice feature of accountunity is that you can save your login data onto a portable device, so you have one less problem to worry about when you move to a new machine.
  • Accountunity looks good.
Simple to set up and many more accounts compared to YBS.
    I'm sorted !
    Thanks again
  • Thanks for the update; glad it was not just me - Will switch to the new provider tonight.

Weej joining accountunity was simple. But can you configure it to show just some sub-accounts (eg I have 8 savings accounts with my first direct, but only want to see 3 of them).

Similarly can you re-name them so instead of just showing acc num, you can give them a name?

Same here with YBS. BUT I think the service has been good. Very few outages. And I've only got a couple of almost-zero balance accounts with them.

People (whoever they are) are being quick to suggest accountunity. Their front page doesn't inspire confidence. The design appears to be ancient and spelling of FAQ's laughable. Perhaps that's how it's spelled in Australia?
Oh, and yes, any issues with using software from the .au domain?
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

accountunity is what YBS MM is based on. In the process of prettying it up and anglifying it, YBS have managed to break it. accountunity, on the other hand, is working like a dream and is a lot more functional. I believe a new version of accountunity is due in the next few months.

Having received more or less the same e-mail I've now got the following communication...:(

    Thank you for your message.

We initially thought the issue was browser specific but upon further review we are unsure what is causing the external accounts not to be displayed.

Our software developers are working alongside our IT department to have this resolved as soon as possible. We have not received any updates as of yet but please continue to check Money Manager on a regular basis.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Kind Regards,
