Downgraded Nationwide FlexPlus part way through November - charged the full £10

I understood that my account would be downgraded immediately - and it showed as such on my online banking and via the Nationwide app. I was expecting to be charged pro rata for the days I still had FlexPlus. Have I missed something?

Anyone else downgraded and had a problem? Do they reinstate the overcharged amount in a few days time when they do the statement, or should I be complaining to them?

If it was a few days I wouldn't be so bothered but it's at least £5 (I downgraded on the 12th if I recall correctly.)

    Doesn't seem to say anything about pro rata charging in the account information

    The account charge is payable monthly on the last day of each month and will not be charged in the month that you open or switch to the account. If the charge has not been paid in the month where the account is closed or switched to a new Nationwide current account, it will be paid on the date the account is closed or debited from the new Nationwide current account at the end of the month in which the account is switched.
