Fraud on Halifax account?
I logged into my online banking this evening to find an authorised payment on my statement to SecondLife.com. I rang Halifax straight away, after quizzing me for ages to see if it could possibly be my fault in some way, he told me I had to contact Second Life to see if it was a subscription that I was unaware of. I have…

How much is you're weekly/monthly commute costing you?
Good morning Money savers, I am doing a little research on how much fellow forum users are spending on getting to and from work. I live in a very rural location which means my travel costs are quite high. I ride my bike to local train station and then take the train to work. With fares on the increase, it may be time for…

Can anyone confirm that Santander had problems with deliveriing statements in 2011?
Thanks in advance: My family have had issues with missing bank statements between May and November 2011. We did speak to a branch advisor who actually admitted that they had problems delivering these statements. Just wondering, if anyone else has experienced problems of this kind with Santander in 2011?

Nationwide flexa/c
I'm attracted by this because of its linked Select Visa. But I don't want to close my FD A/c. So can I open the NationWide A/c without transferring all my DDs/SOs to it? (These include payments into the FD 8% Regular Saver and I don't want to jeopardise that.) Btw, I assume a regular transfer from FD to the new NW A/c…

Royal Bank Of Scotland debt
I need some advice as to whether I have anything to go on. A few years ago, I moved address and went into my local branch of RBS to change my details with them. I was asked to fill out a form and they would change my address which I did. I received a letter from them showing the address change. I have to say at this point,…

Why Can Banks Not Carry Out Simple Written Instructions ?

Why is my Barclays account closed?
Hi, In November 2011, my debit card details were stolen. I reported it to the bank and they cancelled it. During the time it was stolen, there had been unauthorized transactions, ones which made me overdrawn (I didn't have any money in my account). I was now overdrawn by £175.73. I told the bank that it was NOT me, and…

Really stupid question - can we just keep switching?
Hi all, Assuming no credit/overdraft/credit cards are applied for, in theory, could someone just keep switching till the banks are all covered? Just got £200 from the co-operative offer, and thinking of moving to First Direct. Once that bonus comes in, then keep an eye out for the next one, and the next one etc etc. Thanks!
