Barclays Current Account Plus v/s Co-operative Privilege

Planning on opening one of these bank accounts. Which one do you think is better for offers, pre-approved cards etc ?

Also, which bank do you think has better customer service ?

Will be transferring my salary to it every month.

I know it's not quite the question that you asked, but will you use the benefits of the Barclays Current Account Plus over what is free for the normal Current Account? (bearing in mind it costs £78 per year to "upgrade").

Having said that, I've had a Barclays Current Account for 33 years and very rarely had a problem. Online banking is brilliant and has just been revamped - even quicker and easier to use than before and same security with more log-in options. Only down-side is that E-savings account rates are poor.

I'm mainly thinking about getting it for the mobile phone insurance, gadget cover and extended warranty. Plus the Pingit feature and contactless card sounds cool.

But I want to be sure before I take the leap. Will Barclays send me regular offers on the account, give me a credit card etc., or is Co-op better in this regard ?
